Three Paths
The state of Florida continues to grow at an overwhelming rate. And while it has slowed some in recent times, still nearly 800 people a day are moving to our state. The need for healthy, growing churches that point people to Jesus and the truth of God's word has never been greater.
That's why at Florida Church Planters, we're committed to planting churches like SoFlo in West Palm and Coastline in Sarasota, Rue in Tampa, Unity in Leesburg, and The Gathering in Naples, and many others. But just starting new churches is not enough. We need struggling churches to once again become healthy. So that's why we have outlined three paths that can help us to have healthier churches in Florida.
Church Planting
The first path is church planting. And at FCP, this will always be our primary vision and passion. We continue to look for planters and locations and communities across our state.
Replanting
The second path is replanting. And in recent years, FCP has been privileged to do this three times. Replanting happens when an existing church makes a bold, kingdom-minded decision to enter a new season and partner with FCP to bring in a planter and start a brand-new church in their existing facility. Often, those who have been part of this existing church will come along on the journey and will choose to be part of this brand new church.
Revitalization
The third path is church revitalization. And this happens when an existing church, which is probably also experiencing decline, makes a courageous decision to go about ministry in a brand new way, with a new identity and a new passion for reaching their community.
We believe that all three of these paths are vital if we're going to make any difference in our state. If you think your church might be at a point that they're ready to pursue one of these paths, then we invite you to explore the resources that are here and also to reach out and have a conversation with our director.
